Some special visitors

We enjoyed a visit from some professional kite makers, they showed us how different kites are made, they even bought us some in to look at.
We all had a great time making a real kite. We hope the rain stops in time for us to fly them!

We painted our pictures using the paints we've made

We drew lots of woodland animals and plants on some big drapes. We used the paint we made to colour in our pictures.We hung our drapes on our display boards for everyone to see.

The children were given lots of plants that grow in woodlands. The children squished and Squashed and Squeezed the plants to get the colour out.

What a week!

Our year 2 children are having a great time exploring the woodland this week.
We have braved the weather to build shelters, we even had our own woodland fire and toasted marshmallows!

What exciting things have you been doing this week?

Woodland week

We will be getting up to lots of exciting things this week in our woodland. We will have a go at building a den in the trees and, with the help of Mrs Magill, Mrs Hall and Mrs Collins we will be having a camp fire, hot chocolate and camp fire songs!
